im coming home from buying call of duty Modern warfare 2 (which is by FAR the most bad-ass game ever made) the supra is having fuel problems. So right now im driving my new mercedes-benz C280. so i come out of the intersection after buying the game, and once i get to the first light, I see some blue HID lights coming up. light changes, i go, and sure enough, its some euro guy in a BMW 325i (E35). rims, exhaust and HIDs. looks nice. i get up to the next light infront of burger king, (im riding like I usually do, sunroof tilted, front windows down, and the system hittin) this douch rools his windows down and tells me: "if you want to be cool, you should have got a BMW, just though you should know" I turn my music down and respond: "Ah, I'm pretty happy with my benz, bro, just thought you should know"
he keeps talking: "well, its not fast like a BMW dude" I respond simply: "you sure about that?" i turn off the ASR, as soon as the light changes, he got the launch, stays with me, then I smoked his ass in 3rd gear.
C280 (w202) Vs 325i (e35) wow this thing is quick...

just note, my C280 is BONE STOCK under the hood. only 94% octane pump gas, and castrol synthetic BLEND motor oil. not full.

Nice kill. I did have one question though: 94% octane?

only at kanku's. "ultamate"unleaded. BP, conaco, ect only have 3: regular, premium, and super. kanku's has 5 diffrent gasses to pick from. basicly... its just another way to squeez a few more bucks out of people's pockets at the pump. lets your car run a little cleaner though.

I was just picking on you for the using it as a percentage as I've never seen octane used that way.

e36. no such thing as e35. what engine do you have in your C? because stock for stock the 2.5L in the BMW will beat both the 2.3 and the 2.8 mercedes engines. around the same horsepower but the BMW is like 500 lbs lighter. like 350 lbs if it was a convertible. Not talkin crap about your benz tho just curious.

That's what I thought... I'm fairly sure that the 2.5L in the BMW is quite potent and very quick...
but I dunno. :/

He must have been a really lousy driver, because the 325 would really murder your Benz. Not to put you down, it's just the way it is!

I understand, but you guys say that and you need to drive a c class and see for yourselfs insted of me trying to defend the stock for stock specs. I have driven a 95 325i. They shift very hard, and the throttle responce is pretty dissappointing(IMO) as for the specs: in hp, the 2.8l M112 in the Mercedes c class puts a good 194whp, with (I think,) 206lbs ft of torque but at a 7000rpm rev limit... It can seem very short lived between each gear feeling as though you're car is robbing you of torque. One thing is for certian though, hitting 125mph+ is childs play in a w202. The 325i however, is (I think) an even 190whp at 195lbs ft of torque. Fact is that the BMW is around 372(I think) pounds lighter. My thoughts as to how to win comes down to two things with any race. 1) racing with NO fear, and not being afraid to push your car to it's limits. And 2) Skill. In this case though, It was a matter if knowing what you're car really CAN do. Lol don't sit and assume, drive & compare.

If it's an automatic, I don't see skill being a factor really, especially in a drag. Hit the gas and go!

I've never ridden in a C class, but I've ridden in numerous 325/328's. Post 2000. Very quick cars,
