So I am going to get the other side of the LSD welded together as well for added strength. I might have found a set of TEAM SPARCO wheels which are sweet as hell.
I just got some Moog Inner and Outer Tie rod Ends and Moog Tie rod End Boots $400 dang! These should go nicely on with my Moog sway bar endlinks.

Is it one way or two way? I guess with the welds, it's all the time?

Its a 4 spider gear type the welds were on the wrong side of the diff lol, the other end actually comes appart under boost on the MSP turbo engines. I have to get the gear housing welded between the rivits on the opposite side. It is all the time LSD no friction packs. It looks alot like my POSI-trac rearend in my crown victoria minus the hypoid gear of course.

What I meant by "all the time" was if it was locked all the time. I rode in a friend's 240sx that has a 2-way. I'm told he didn't adjust it properly, but it was quite annoying when he was turning at slow speeds. I imagine if he was on the gas it would have been better....maybe.
Why all of this work into the 626? I know those parts aren't that cheap.

It allows some slippage for turning, I don't think it is going to be irritating like a locker in a turn.
It's my first car and it has some sentimental value I bought it and maybe drove it 800km lol, I got a no insurance fine and a few other ones too so I was disappointed with her. She must live again.
I figure there are a lot of 2 door coups and all that jazz I like the way the 626 handles and if I want to bring some people on a road trip they aren't crammed into the back like a sardine can.
You could say there is a few dollars tied up into this. I could have bought an FD TT RX7 in great condition for probably the same.

My 81 Blazer had a Stroked 454, it was close to 540 Cu.In. with 10:1 comp pistons and it ate up the 750 CFM carb like nothing it could have taken more. It also burned more gas then anything I have ever seen. $35 everyday just to go to work and back.
it had 44"x14.5"(wide) tires lol, no one cut me off in that mofo. My exhaust was Headers-Cherry Bombs-exit before rearend under truck= if you had a car lower then my door and your window was open I raped your ear drums. I didnt have it on a dyno but my butt dyno says when you have all 4 tires smokin you must have some shit pile of torque.

I just wanted to say that RoadRage, you're crazy. I like crazy. But let me give you some tips on the transmission, at least before you go all wild on it. The mazdaspeed LSD, even though you've welded the spot welds, you're not gonna enjoy that transmission as well as you think you will. The final drive you really want is the Ford Probe's 4.38:1 final drive. I hate that I had to go back to a stock 4.11 final drive transmission and let me tell you, I notice the difference. Big time. When I upgraded my midpipe, there's a spot I used to reference as my 1/4 run and before the mid pipe I was trapping around 98 or 99 mph with the probe GT tranny. After the mid pipe with the PGT tranny it was like 101 or 102 mph. I stripped 3rd gear and went with an MX6 tranny (same as ours btw) I'm trapping around 96 or 97 mph. I hate that trans. If I find another Probe GT trans I'm taking this one out ASAP. I'll keep it as a spare. There's a company down here in Cummings, ga called OPM autosports who builds custom LSD's for quite a few probetalk members along with Miata owners as well. do a search on line for them. Sell your mazdaspeed LSD and find a PGT differential.
The brakes, before you go buying that "big brake kit" and spending all that money on something that still looks kinda cheap, The mazda6 brakes are a direct bolt up. The '03-'05 models come with 11.2 inch rotors (minimum 15" rims), the 06-'08 models come with 11.8 inch rotors (16's minimum) and the Mazdaspeed 6 comes with 4 piston calipers with a 12.4 inch rotor (18's minimum, but try your luck with the 17's to be on the safe side).

EDIT: Also Mazda Speed 6 calipers are $400 a piece new lol, my whole front BBK is going to cost around $650+Pads and SS Brake lines.
I am going with the millenia S calipers and 3000GT VR4 12.3" rotors up front because it is a proven (30+ races) setup that will not fade after repeated severe abuse. I am going to get Mazda 6 calipers and rotors for the rear.
I just got a set of Sparco 01R wheels 18"x8.5" 35mm offset and Nitto Neo-Gen 235-40-R18 ZR tires these are sweet as F#@$.
EDIT:

Here are some pics of the wheels
Mazda Speed also makes like a 4.88 ring gear
I have heard about OPM they do make kick ass stuff.
The problem is I bought the KLZE with an MTX already on it, so I don't know what is in the tranny it could already have a full set of PAR gears and a Quaffi LSD for all I know lol. I won't be drag racing the car, so it's not that big an issue. If I do drag race the car I am going with a 150 shot of N2O till I build the 700HP motor and the lower drive will give me more time between shifts.
The Mazda Speed LSD is a 4 Spider gear type with no spring packs so I am not really sure what it is exactly. I have read places it says 1.5way but I don't know. It is supposto be the new upgraded version.
I also found an Innovate wide band O2, Fidanza Flywheel and CM Stage 3 clutch (Flywheel and clutch have around 5K) So a new surface for the flywheel is $60.
EDIT: The clutch and flywheel have around 20k on them but they still look good.
I also have a PRM Jetstream Intake comming. See post below for pics
I need to have a 2.25" header back exhaust build from T304
I figure I am going to hit some where in the neighbor hood of 210BHP with all this crap I got now, with the stock ecu. Probably 230 with a megasquirt.
I need to get the body work done
Car will be complete. (for now

It just won't stop, I can't help my self, PLEASE HELP ME!
PRM Racing JetStream Intake.

The affore mentioned Moog Inner and Outer Tie rod end and Boot.

So I figured I needed these as well because the KLZE they send me had broken actuators.
VRIS WOOT!

^This is boarder line porn for some people J/k
Im a parts whore lol.
Front and Rear Reactive Strut tower bars should be in tomorrow, the BBK is ordered and so is the Innovate LC-1 Wide band O2.
I even started jogging, I need to loose about 40lbs no need for a beefy driver mod.
The car is going in for cancer surgery in a few days. DE-RUSTIFICATION is beginning.

The smokey tail lights? if you are referring to mine on the first page then you should know they are dirty as hell.
I wanna try to get Mazda Motorsports Development to give me free MazdaSpeed parts.
The Mazda dealership in town thinks this build is crazy or something, they haven't even seen anything as hybrid-cross pollinated as this rig.
Mechanic won't come within 5 feet of it.
Zoom Zoom.

I wanted to talk to jerry sica about building a one off for me. He has a page that's in construction for building a custom CAI and that would be the route I would take. I still don't feel confortable putting my CAI in front of the fan. I don't have that problem nowadays.

Phone Gerry, he always picks up on the first call, great guy to talk to.

Well, I put the car in the body shop yesterday, I got a quote of $900 to repair that rust, and repaint the entire engine bay, which is great! I can have the outside of the car painted at a later date. I think the paint in the engine bay is going to be black and I am going to paint my FSTB black also, I need a windshield and an aftermarket hood then it's a full paint job and that should take the car back to super clean. I mounted the K-Sport's up front and put the Wheels on the car they look sexy as hell!
