My windshield! ARGH!

It seems like there's thousands of tiny (small enough to where I can't feel them with my finger) pits in the glass ... Meaning when the sun comes down in the evening, it is near impossible for me to see where I'm going because each pit becomes a miniature sun..

Any ideas on what I could do short of replacing the windshield?

*edit* I'm stupid.. I shoulda been more descriptive in the topic name */edit*

You've nailed it ... Looks like it was sand blasted ... the headlight lenses look the same way.

Why don't you want to replace it? My aunt is still in the process of hooking me up with the guy who changed her windshield for free. But thats only if you have like a $100 comp deductible

come on, the new windshield can't be that expensive?
even here, i could get a new glass for $100 and replace it yourself, just find out, which tools are needed.. ;)
